An object such as a document, tag, physical item, or virtual item group, is normally flagged as "change-controlled" at the time it is first added to AssetWise. This is done by selecting the Change Controlled option in the edit form. For example,

Objects that are flagged as "Change Controlled" may only be edited through a formal change request process. The object's Change Status changes from "Current" to "Change Pending", and then to "Under Change" during the course of the approval process.
